The new formula is NOT an improvement

"I bought my matcha cleanser when it was time for a refill, not knowing they'd changed the formula. I noticed that it went from a clear gel to a bright green gel but thought, ok, I'll go with it since matcha is green and all. But my skin is reacting poorly to it. Clogged pores, pimples, and my pretty skin looks dehydrated and blotchy. The only change in my routine was this cleanser. I hate that they changed it. It is NOT the same. If you were a fan of the old formulation be warned the new one is very different and definitely not an improvement for some of us."

Why change it?!

"I have been using the Matcha Cleanse for SO LONG because it is superior to all the other cleansers I have tried. It genuinely cleaned my skin every time I always felt amazing after a wash but now it leaves my oils behind and dried up so it does not make my face feel clean at all. I don’t know why Tatcha decided to change such a good thing when it was superior. Please please please bring it back I don’t want to hunt for a new cleanser but I will have to."

"Everyone’s skin is different, but for me this dried out my skin and made my acne explode in response. I know it was this product because I only ever change skin care products one at a time so I know how my skin reacts. I have combo skin with an acne prone jaw and chin and a dryer forehead. It also made my minor rosacea worse because my skin felt dry and irritated. Going to try the silk line and indigo line though, because I have loved my silk peony eye cream for a few months now!"
